Seren: So, I should only have one bag a day?
Me: No, more like one bag a month...
Seren (Mouth full, and loudly sucking her fingers): Mmmmm...I could eat these ALL day!

So, we're driving home in the minivan and Evy tattles:  Mom, Seren said "Dang it."
Seren: No, I did not!
Mommy: Seren, even so, you shouldn't say "Dang it".
Seren: Mommy, I didn't say "dang it", I said "Damn it!"
Mommy: You shouldn't say that either, Seren.
*sigh*

I know I've said it before and, since I haven't said it in awhile I will repeat it, a "Serenism" is not always what Seren says, but it's also what she does....

So, a few weeks back, my mom gave us some crocheted potholders that she made herself.  I've not been able to put them away for our use because I can't seem to locate them.  On occasion, one will show up in the possession of a child.  Tonight, I found one attached to my child, Serenity.  I have uploaded a picture of Seren wearing the potholder as a hat, while throwing a tantrum.  Unfortunately, the irony of a picture of a hot-headed child wearing a pot-holder as a hat while throwing a tantrum is lost on her at this age...

Took his first two steps!  Happily, I can say that I didn't miss it.  He walked right to his mommy tonight.  I feel I miss a lot when I'm working, but I'm really happy I didn't miss that!
