Ok, I wasn't around to hear this one, but received the texted experience. It went roughly like this:
Seren (in van on the ride home from school) explains to Mike in a long-winded manner that Xander is asleep.
Mike asks Seren to hand Xander his bottle.
Seren: Daddy, I just got through telling you Xander was asleep.
Mike: I have a lot of things going on right now and I didn't quite hear everything you said.
Seren: I know what it is, SHORT TERM MEMORY LOSS (much emphasis on the phrase).
Mike: Why do you think that?
Seren: Because Dory on Finding Nemo has short term memory loss...
Mike: (grumbles that he's been compared to Dory on Finding Nemo).
